Guidelines for Beverley Squash Club Members - May 2021

Hello [[firstname]],

It is great news that we are able to get back to playing squash, but I would like to remind you that we are still operating under restrictions due to the Covid Outbreak, and we still need to make sure we keep each other safe. I would like to re-iterate the guidelines that are in place for using the courts:

1. We want to restrict the time people spend in the club as much as possible. Therefore please arrive as close to the time of your court as possible (within 5 minutes) and leave the courts promptly. As much as possible we do not want players from two different courts meeting on the way in or the way out.

2. Please come ready to play, and avoid using the changing rooms where possible. Shower at home if you can. If you do use the shower, only the person who has been on court with you should be in the changing room at the same time, and preferably use the shower on your own. Change into your court shoes on entering the building but otherwise please arrive and leave in your squash kit.

3. Please avoid touching surfaces and wipe down any surfaces you touch. Use hand sanitiser before you enter the door code. Please wipe door handles on he courts when you leave with the wipes provided and throw them in he bin when used. Avoid touching the wall where possible and wipe down the wall if you do touch it. Mop up any sweat droplets if you leave any on court.

4. Please bring your own water and a towel to wipe your sweat between rallies.

5. Spectators are allowed, but a maximum of 6 people can be upstairs at any time. Please arrive and leave promptly if you are able to.

I understand that some of these rules are tiresome, but please work with us as we try to make sure that we keep everyone healthy.

regards

David Tongeman
Chairman - Beverley Squash and Racketball Club
