Hello [[firstname]],
I hope you are keeping well and finding other ways to stay fit in the absence of playing squash.
I want to update you on the latest information with regard to the suspension of play at the courts. We are following the England Squash guidelines - waiting for the time when it is safe to re-open the courts. Sadly it looks like we are going to have to wait a little longer.
The latest England Squash statement says:

LAST UPDATED: 12.05.20
England Squash is closely monitoring the UK Government advice around the coronavirus situation. All squash activity in England remains suspended following the UK Government’s advice to close sports facilities. We are very eager to see squash return as soon as it possibly can, in a safe way that is aligned to Government advice. We will share more information at the appropriate time, so that we can all get back on court.
Advice on community squash:
Squash clubs and facilities should remain closed until further notice following the Prime Minister's address to the nation on 10th May.The Government issued further FAQs on 11th May in relation to exercise and what is and isn't permitted. Specifically:"As with before, the public cannot:
exercise in an indoor sports court, gym or leisure centre, or go swimming in a public pool."This means that all squash clubs and facilities should remain closed until further notice - this includes anyone wishing to engage in solo practice or members of the same household playing on a squash court.

It looks as if some outdoor sports may start to have restrictions eased but for now the squash courts remain closed.
We have not been idle in the last few weeks with some work being done in the changing rooms to refresh the floor tiles where they had become old and stained. We are also taking the opportunity to change out some of the carpet tiles which are worn.
Hopefully in the not too distant future we will be able to get back to playing squash in what will still be one of the best squash facilities in the East Riding.
regards
